How Email Works With Fax.Live
Step 1
Select Send New Fax to get started sending your fax. Drag and drop your PDF document into Fax.Live to upload it for faxing.
Step 2
Enter your recipient’s Fax Number so we know where to send your fax. You’ll also have the option to add a free cover sheet to your fax document.
Step 3
Once your fax is sent, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the details of your fax. Make sure these details look right so you know your fax was sent correctly.

No, we handle all faxing functionality through the Fax.Live dashboard. When you receive a fax, you will get an email notification.
But, you will download and view the PDF in your Fax.Live dashboard. The benefit of this is that all of your sent and received faxes are all stored online in the Fax.Live dashboard, where they remain until you delete them or close your account.
Can I send documents with an email?
Yes, but some recipients prefer or require you to fax a document instead. Faxing a document can be more secure, and some organizations prefer to support faxing over emailing. But, yes, you can email documents by attaching them to your email.
How many faxes can I send?
This depends on your Fax.Live plan. Fax.Live calculates fax jobs based on the number of pages in the document, not the number of documents. Unlike email, Fax.Live does not have a data limit for sending documents.
Where do I view sent/received faxes?
Fax.Live stores the documents that you send and receive in the dashboard. You’ll find received faxes in the Inbox tab and sent faxes in the Sent tab.
When you’re receiving a new fax, you’ll see that the fax is incoming in the Inbox. You’ll get an email notification, even if you close out the Fax.live browser window.
