How to Send a Fax Letter
- Log in to your Fax.Live Account
If you don’t already have a Fax.Live account, it’s free to set up and try out to see how digital faxing works. In the Fax.Live dashboard, you’ll see the option to Send New Fax.

2. Download your Letter as a PDF and Drag and drop it into PDF.Live to upload.
If you wrote your letter in a document editor like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, it’s as simple as saving a copy of your letter as a PDF. You may alternatively use a DOC-to-PDF converter. If you have a physical version of your letter, you’ll need to scan it.

3. Enter your recipient’s fax number
Your recipient’s fax phone number can be thought of as the “mailing address” for your letter. In other words, it’s how we know where to send your letter! Fax.Live also has the option to create a free cover sheet with the recipient’s name as well as your name and the subject of your fax. Remember that you still need to enter the recipient’s fax number so we know where to send it.

4. Press Send Fax.
Fax.Live will then begin the process of sending your fax to the recipient. Note that you may need to wait a minute for Fax.Live to send your fax, depending on the number of pages and other factors. Until your fax is sent, don’t click away or exit out of your Fax.Live webpage until you see a message that says it’s OK to. We will email you when your fax has been successfully sent, and you’ll be able to monitor activity in your Fax.Live dashboard! We explain how fax tracking works here.
